چکیده
Accepted 23 April 1998 Summary A young pre-menopausal non-drugaddict woman without risk factors for coronary artery disease suffered from a non-Q-wave acute myocardial infarction. She presented with epigastric pain and vomiting. Diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction was not suspected at first because of her young age and lack of risk factors. She was treated for gastritis but worsening ofepigastric pain and its radiation to chest warranted the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction, which was confirmed by serial serum cardiac enzymes. Subsequent coronary angiogram revealed normal coronary arteries.

متن کاملPostpartum myocardial infarction.
A 29 year old woman had a myocardial infarction three weeks post partum. Coronary angiography was performed six days later. No abnormalities were seen initially, but re-injection of the left coronary artery resulted in a dissection that extended through the anterior descending and circumflex branches and a reinfarction. This case suggests that myocardial infarctions occurring in patients with a...
متن کاملMyocardial infarction in familial hyper-alpha and hypo-beta-lipoproteinaemia.
This is the documentation of an acute myocardial infarction in a 45-year-old woman with familial hyper-alpha- and hypo-beta-lipoproteinaemia. This dyslipoproteinaemia has been rarely associated with clinical evidence of ischaemic heart disease. Documentation of angiographically normal coronary arteries in this patient is consistent with the concept that increased alpha-lipoprotein (HDL) and low...
متن کاملMyocardial infarction with angiographically normal coronary arteries.
Myocardial Infarction with Normal Coronary Arteries (MINCA) is an important subgroup of myocardial infarction with a frequency of at least 3-4% of all myocardial infarctions. The interest and awareness of MINCA have increased recently due to the frequent use of coronary angiography, the description of Takotsubo stress cardiomyopathy and new sensitive troponin assays. Since myocarditis may mimic...
متن کاملArterial thrombosis and acute myocardial infarction with angiographically normal coronary arteries in a woman heterozygous for both factor V Leiden and prothrombin mutation.
Thirteen years after her last thrombotic event, anticoagulation was discontinued in a patient with combined thrombophilia involving mutation in factor V and G20210A polymorphism of the prothrombin gene. The only history was of arterial thrombosis. Three months later she presented a transmural myocardial infarction caused by coronary thrombosis.
